Name
of the beach: Ruda
Location of the beach: Rukavac, Vis island
How to get there: To get to the beach, travel
to the southeast end of the island to the village
of Rukavac. As you drive down the hill into town
make the last available right turn onto a paved
road (if you get to the restaurant you have gone
too far, turn around a go back 100 meters). Wind
your way through the vacation homes and up the hill
until the pavement ends. Continue straight several
hundred meters to a grove of trees, most likely
filled with parked cars. From the parking area head
to the right (west) and down the hill to the beach.
Near the entrance you’ll find textile beach, turn
to the right and climb over a couple of rock shelves
and the beach soon becomes a mix of textiles and
naturalist, mostly naturalist couples and families.

Description:
The
beach is composed of a large bay. At the entrance
a pebble beach with large, high rocks to the left.
On the right the beach is composed of large rocky
shingles that are not smoothed by concrete yet they
are large and smooth enough to get comfortable.
Several locations are adjacent to the overhanging
pine trees for shade. At the end of the bay is another
pebble beach. Most of the beach was used by couples
and families, again mostly naturalist. The beach
had a very comfortable feeling due to its users.
Thanks
