How to get there: Unlike most of the visitors,
and as we could not get correct directions from
the tourist agencies in Makarska, we decided to
take our car.
As you leave Makarska and join the main road towards
Tucepi, immediately after the traffic lights there
are a number of warehouses on the right hand side.
We turned into Apfel (apple) storage and immediately
behind it there is a dirt road heading uphill. It
is actually a mountaineers' path and is well signposted.
Just follow a sign to Tucepi and after about 5 minutes
there is a mark on the stone by the road saying
turn right for Nugal. From than on all you do is
follow the signs on the stones. Sturdy shoes recommended.

Mark:
4 (1-lowest, 5-highest)
Description:
Beautiful pebble beach, hidden between the cliffs.
The beach is well kept and clean, with disposal
bags in the back.
The beach is fairly narrow, but long and is adjecent
to the most inviting, beautiful pine tree forest.
Even during the hottest days, the small forest remains
cool and quiet and offers privacy.
Bottled water is a must, as no water is available
for miles, therefore we marked it 4.
Not suitable for small children.
Thanks

of the beach: Nugal
Location of the beach: Makarska
How to get there: Park your car at the big
car park at the southernmost end of Makarska habour,
just below the abandoned hotel Osojava. Follow path
along the coast for about 40 minutes. The walk is
a beauty of its own with a breathtaking scenery
along the way.
Where ever the pathbranches out, be sure to keep
to the branch closest to the coast. The path is
prepared but quite stony so put stout shoes on.
