Description:

Banculuka is a naturist camping situated on a slope between two hills southeast from Baska on the island of Krk. I would recommend it to anyone seeking beautiful and almost untouched nature.
Camping's beach is a fine white pebble beach with easy and comfortable access to the water (no need for water shoes). It is also ideal for children. Right next to the beach there is a restaurant, newsstand, fast-food, small market, tennis, volleyball and miniature golf courses. The beach is equipped with showers. Deckchairs and beach umbrellas are available for rent.
In the high season the beach can be very crowded, not only with camping guests, but also with day-visitors from Baska. There is a small charge for day-visitors.
If you prefer less people on the beach you can continue walking behind Banculuka where there is a number of extremely beautiful bays with pebbly beaches like Jablanova or Vrzenica. They are all naturist beaches. Foot path leading from Banculuka to those beaches is very beautiful, but also narrow and partly very rough and steep, so I wouldn't recommend it if you have mobility problems. Anyway, a pair of good walking shoes is a must. To reach Vrzenica it takes about 20 minutes of walk from Banculuka, Jablanova is a bit closer. After Vrzenica there are other beautiful bays like Dubna or Konjska but you will need about an hour of walk to reach them. None of those beaches has any facilities, except beach umbrellas and deckchairs to rent on Jablanova and Vrzenica, so bring with you all you need for a perfect day under the sun.

Thanks visitor for this report.

How to get there: By car, taking the road from Rijeka and cross the bridge.

Description:
Large unattractive pebble beach. Very crowded in August. Absolutely no respect of naturism at all:
- numerous people in bathing suits that gawk at naked guests
- if you want to buy something in the mini-market, better bring clothes. Personnel does not even support topless women and gets agressive.
- impossible to eat naked even if you bring a towel to sit on (it would shock personnel)

In short: if you are looking for a naturist beach, avoid this one. Fake destination.
This goes for the camping site as well: 70% wears cloths (yes, also the cursed pareo).

Thanks visitor for this report.
