Split Marjan naturist beach
(sent on May 24th, 2007)

Submitted by: a visitor from USA

Name of the beach: Marjan beach
Location of the beach: Split
How to get there: From the Riva water front in Split centre, walk west ( or the direction towards the Marina! ) Just simply follow the main road and go past the marina and keep walking. The sea is on your left and walk for about 15mins. You will come to a property on the left which is signed as an Institute of 'something', just past this property there is a turning left. Take this road and it winds 100m down to the beach. This is a very popular town beach with a cafe bar. The road arrives at one end of the beach where there is a car park and cafe. The nude area is the other end of the beach. A path skirts the back of the beach and delivers you to the nude section.

Description:
This is a great place if you are staying in Split. Its an easy walk from town but feels like its slightly remote. Its surrounded by trees and rocks. It is well attended by all ages and a good mix of locals and tourists. There are 'private' areas between rocks where one or two people can sunbathe. The sea is clean and swimming is safe.
